"The 2011 Montes Classic Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 15% Merlot and offers a simple black currant, vanilla and violet bouquet that is joyful and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannin, crisp raspberry and dark cherry fruit, zesty acidity and lovely focus on the finish. At this price, itwould be hard to find a better Cabernet. We agree with Mr. Parker: few Cabernets in the world within this price range can compete well with 2011 Montes "Classic" Cabernet Sauvignon Colchagua Valley. It really is the nice everyday Cab, and this is right up your alley. Nothing too fancy, but the fruit is ripe and the wine is pure. It has a medium body with soft tannins and hints of mint that show up on the back palate through the finish. 6 months in French Oak. Once again, tough to beat at this price.
