Fox Creek Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2004, McLaren Vale

Deep ruby and almost tar-like at the rim. Mature. Intense aromas of cassis following through with mocha & chocolate, rum raisin with ripe fruit to the palate gives it an exciting length. Decant in advance and enjoy. Does not taste like a 15 year-old wine. Not 'foxy' at all.

James Halliday awarded the wine 94 Points writes, ‘Fox Creek Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 gives a potent mix of blackcurrant, blackberry and bitter chocolate supported by ripe tannins and controlled oak.'

This is the top-top Cuvee on the varietal from Fox Creek. This is a favourite item in auctions. In 2010, in Hong Kong, Fox Creek beat wines from France, California and South Africa to win the Red Bordeaux Varietal International Trophy in the Decanter Asian Wine Awards. Fox Creek has been classified ‘Excellent’ in Langton’s Classification since 2005.

However, no materials has been found on winemaking and viticultural practices.
