Chateau Fontesteau 2007, Cuvee Variation

Deep ruby, tight garnet rim. Intense, ripe dark fruit. Dense palate. Still supple and woody wine, spicy with no dearth of elegance. Gourmet type of wine with strong mid palate. This 2007 turns out to be a quality wine.

The aim here is to create a wine that is very different from the basic Château Fontesteau itself merely by varying the blend combination. So the composition is Cabernet based, with Merlot, and is relatively easy to undertand. The Variation is aged 12 months in new barrels. Only 3000 bottles of 75 cl produced for vintage 2007. Top Cuvee. Heavy bottle(600g).

Decanting recommended.
