Domaine de La Solitude 2012, Cuvee Barberini

Fragrances, scents of cherries, cedar and violets. On the palate, well textured, ripe and full-bodied wine with smooth and integrated tannins, delivering mineral, black fruits, mocha espresso, liquorice, white pepper and some smoke without over toasted oak.

Compare to its Cuvee Tradition; this Cuvee Barberini is even more voluminous and generous. Long finish. Cuvee Tradition 2012 is already very good; Cuvee Barberini 2012 is just even better.

The name of Cuvee Barberini is a tribute to the founders of the state, the Barberini family. The composition is 45% Syrah, 45% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, aged in French oak(30% new) for 18 months, with only 250 cases made. RP92.
