Chateau Carignan Quartet 1995, Premiere Cotes de Bordeaux


The wine ages in 4 types of 100% new, French oak barrels for 18 months. This ready to drink probably over the hills claret has the following characteristics: medium bodied, round, espresso, black cherry, liquorice and plummy. A bottle of wine not meant to make old bones, this 'Quartet' is the top Cuvee from Château Carignan (Bordeaux) cellars Château Carignan Côtes de Bordeaux with an alcohol content of mere 12º is more from the Old School.

Chateau Carignan is one of the older Bordeaux estates with a long history that dates back to the middle of the 1400’s. There are parts of the impressive chateau that

dates back almost as far.
