Fox Creek JSM Shiraz Blend 2002

July 9, 2019

Crimson brick red colour with a deep crimson brick red hue. If you are looking for bold fruit, this is not the wine for you. Complexity as you call it in the form of tones of farmyards & manure, leather, trea leaves from Cabernet Franc, with blackberry fruit lurking.  There are soft tannins smokey cigar and blackberry palate well rounded and balanced. Needs decanting, in our view. On the palate, there are dry raspberry, plum, raisins, spice and stewed fruit followed by liquorice allsorts, very much from the Shiraz with bottle age. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of stewed fruit, raisins and spice.
