Chateau Tour de Mirambeau Cuvee Passion Rouge 2015


Dark ruby with tight ​​garnet rim. Quite some violet reflexes, delicate marginal brightening. The blend from merlot (82%), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon gives in the glass a deep and sustaining bouquet of ripe black fruits, spices and roasted murrain. Underneath the dark fruit, it airs a touch of tar, hints of figs and nougat. The palate reflects the nose with sweetish, rich and dense, with ripe and silky tannins. It combines power and softness.

Medium-bodied, there is a subtle fruit sweetness and cherries on the finish. With ripe tannins characteristical of 2015 vintage, Chateau Tour de Mirambeau "Cuvee Passion" Rouge 2015 is of balanced style and has potential for development.

This 300 ha vineyard in Entre-Deux-Mers situates a limestone plateau. An ancient tower(hence 'Tour') overlooks the vineyards and stands in the middle of the oldest vines of the family.

It has been score highly for a little wine, for example, Falstaff 92 and RP89.
