Nose honeyed and very botrytis. Succulent, rich and powerful tropical and orange fruit on the palate. Better and tighter acidities than 2016. Medium length, and is expected to improve over time and should resolve with time in barrel and bottle. This is a dessert wine of excellent value. It is a classic Barsac, albeit with Sauternes elegance and poise, and indeed might be interested in palates for riper and very abundant fruit. Long ageing. Pricier, but will be well spent. Very high score, like WA97, WE96, WS97.
