Chateau Haut-Roudier 2016, Bordeaux

Beautiful colour- intense ruby and tight rim- doesn't look like an AOP Bordeaux. Open dark fruit- not really fresh like real to the extent but adequate. No stalky fruit, no young tannins and taut acidity, the palate is ripe, soft(you can say watery but I think still adequate)

and right to drink now, offering primary and pure dark cherry, blackberry and mulberry fruit not too fresh and with tones of mint but adequate as a generic. It is not a wine for ageing, with a light texture and slight spicy structure. The finish is fresh and dry. Drink from late 2018. WE85 in EP and Wine-Searcher 87 current-looks like this is improving, and in my view, it is.
