Chateau La Bretonniere 2015, Top Cuvee

Ripe and delicate blackcurrant and strawberry fruit, clothed by elegant vanilla and mocha tones. Classy, sweet, subtle oak! An exceptionally structured wine with chalky and fine tannins. Maybe sharp, stalky and ‘Perrier‘ to start on the palate, it has the 2015 type of ripeness and fruit layers leading to juicy element and tight acidity. It gives an exquisite, exquisite taste, recalling Chateau Larreau CB from Margaux I tasted long tine Landed in Hong Kong 2 years ago, the wine has since then rounded its austere character and gives excellent drinking now. Yes, this wine is from Blaye, but it is concentrated and has the right body and length(8 seconds+ fruit on palate) good enough for Bordeaux wine lovers. It challenges well any good CBs and second wines and drinks on and on. Less than 12000 bottles made; 90% Cabernet with 10% Merlot conditioning; entended new oak ageing. Nice. My score is 92 for this Grand Vin. Note that some other lower cuvees are produced.
