The Quality and value set, centering on Bordeaux, seem to offer 100% classic taste from Bordeaux rather than putting New World plonks with the view may be to low the cost and increase the profit. We at Dunn Dunn won’t.
Left to right, Chateau La Valiere 2007 gives classic Medoc taste and nose, red and black fruit intermingles with mineral finish. Belle CROIX Lalande de Pomerol 2010 from clay and limestone soil gives a sturdy palate and a nice color. The more alcoholic Chateau Les Merles Oak Bergerac Red 2009, however, is woody and powerful. Tannic and bodied as it is, it adds diversity to the set. The Domaine Grandy Vacqueras 2012 peppery because of the higher syrah compositon. The JP Dubost Brouilly 2012 is fresh and easy to drink and surely ease our palate for another classic and intense St Emilion Mialhe Boutet from the rare 1999 vintage. Of course, with the Loanha Champagne method sparkling, palates are tightened up with fine bubbles and acidities. So Merry Christmas and enjoy!!
