Vivid red fruit, such as red currants and raspsberries, with that mild toasty quality, leading to a fine finish with some rusticity and minerality. A GSMC blend (Shiraz 62%, Mourvedre 14%, Grenache 11%, Durif 9%, CInsault 2% , Carignan 3%) with a pinch of Durif(!), this simple and commercial wine has been showing off some complexities through a full hour’s tasting. Admirable efforts. Value for money.
