Kumeu River Coddington Chardonnay 2011

Our expeirnce with this wine started with the a detailed tasting with a Chinese owner of a small company in Hong Kong who was the official with this prestigeous winery. A very knowledgeable Chinese from New Zealand, recall many good times with some high quality people in the trade. Recent blind tasting with International wine magazines with with the undaunted Kumeu River Chardonnay vs the best Premier Crus and Grand Crus also points to the quality of Chardonnays from Kumeu Rvier and the Coddington is one of its best.

Of course the following commendations speak forKumeu RiverCoddington Chardonnay 2011.

P92| Robert Parker: "The 20110 Coddington Chardonnay entices with a nose of apricots, pink grapefruit and toasted almonds accented by hints of ginger and mace. Tightly knit at this youthful stage, the medium bodied palate gives a wonderful intensity of citrus and stone fruit flavors, plus a refreshing burst of acidity through a long finish. Drink it now to 2016+." Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW
