2016 EP Clos Floridene Blanc, Graves

Bright, light straw with green hue. Can’t add further beyond Wine Spectator as it very much summarized our tasting notes.. However, the palate is with added dimension of candied lemon and filled with fresh herbs. Very juicy.

Stylistically, this is a modern Graves white, as this tastes round even for a EP as its fermentation in new oak barrels yielded a crisp definition and stone fruit aromas. We all look forward to its full integration though.

We were told this vintage, made by the famous Denis Dubourdieu, is made from 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Semillon. Light oaked. We always like this wine (from the tasting we had had 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015). Watsons has been selling wine this for quite some time.

WINE SPECTATOR | 89-92

Taut, with pink grapefruit zest, white peach and verbena notes backed by a steely hint on the finish.
