2016 EP Chateau Les Grands Chenes, Medoc

Dark ruby, tight rim. Extracted style with blackcurrant fruits are joined by liquorice and smoky sandalwood. On palate it is a lightish yet ripe and forward Medoc with notable minerality, as well as generosity of fruit with note pf kirsch and creme de cassis.

Lively structure with firm tannins.

We always like this wine since our first tasting of this wine in 1998. Excellent lunch wine.
