Cheval Noir 2012, AC St Emilion

Deep ruby color, tight garnet ripe. Ripe dark fruit and raspberry nose; raisiny. Ample, soft tannins that give texture; light oak with undergrowth tones. Made by the famous house who is owner of Chateau Palmer. One Vivino taster writes, ‘kicking up dust on a country road, watching it swirl into a perfect blue sky.’ Wow, pretty imagery. Easy drinking and very approachable. Medium finish.

One wrinkle. Cheval Noir? The house has infrequently litigations with Cheval Blanc on the use of name.
