Domaine DECELLE-VILLA Bourgogne Protegee 2014
Bright, pale ruby with a tight rim. Classic and diffused fruit(strawberry, cherries), lightly spiced, musky and mushroomy. On the palate, excellent, modern red fruit, light spice with a refreshing and meaty finish. ABV is mere 12.7%, from small parcels of Mecurey, Ladoix-Sevigny and Savigny-Les-Beaune, hence the varied taste despite its humble origin.
Aged for 12 Months in 15% new Oak of 228 Litres. The juice is from destemmed fruit, 21-day fermentation cycle. Not a bit extracted and zero bitterness. Nicely balanced acidity and fruit.
A wine of lmodern classicism.
