Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards Shiraz 2004


Colour is slightly lighter in intensity like a deep ruby with a medium rim. It is More approachable than Hillside 2004 and still powerful red with 14% ABV. Fruit profile forms from dark berry aromas, display liqueur-like power and depth, with smooth vanilla, cola, tobacco and graphite qualities adding complexity. On the palate, it is juicy with blackberries and raspberry flavours. Smoky minerals underscore liquorice and framed by resolved tannins. Easy to drink. Parker writes, 'Produced from 34 year old vines, the dense ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Shiraz Amery offers up dusty, loamy earth, black fruit, spicy oak, and roasted meat and herb like aromas.
