2017 Wine Future, Chateau Lanessan

Dark ruby, tight rim. Nose of violets; mix red and black currants, soft, ripe plums and cassis. The palate is fleshy and approachable and friendly with lovely structure, tannic, mineral leading to a lifted medium finish. As it progresses, it gains weight with blackberry, raspberry and light cedar notes and remains stable with lots of sanity and control, throughout the tasting. Saint-Julien personality, reasonably priced, good value. From a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. We always like this wine ever since our first tasting, in 1992.

2017 Lanessan is more a wine for drinking. The prices of this wine remain very stable. Can keep for anotehr 10 years. This 2017 is one respectable effort. Same quality level as 2015, 2016 and is individualistic on its own. Worth buying.
