Château Amour 2015 Médoc CB
Deep ruby; with a light pink rim. On the nose, the scent of raspberries with notes of strawberries followed nose of black fruits(blackcurrant, berries, cherries). Mild tannin and pretty solid body. Fresh, slihgtly tart, bitter chocolate fresh, spicy, ripe with balanced tannins, herbs, oak, nuts, almonds, caramel nuance. We have been following this wine since its 2012 vintage. This 2015 is not a classical mineral and 'salty' Northern Medoc CB. It is a structured, modern CB to go with quality sirloin. Moderate finish.
The name Chateau Amour is good enough for Valentines, for weddings and any event and functions to celebrate with dear persons. The label is stylishly chrome red on off-white. Alcohol level is decent. And this 2015 vintage the best rated(4 out of 5)Chateau Amour 8 years in a roll since 2008.
Scores are decent, for example, WE89, who writes, 'This Chateau Amour 2015 Medoc 2015(sic) is a rich wine, generous with ripe berry fruit. Produced in the northern Médoc, it holds equal quantities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, giving both juicy fruits and a firm structure that will allow the wine to age. Drink from 2023.
