With a bright, amber colour, this Chateau Bellevue 2009 Sweet(oaked) from Monbazillac give fresh, dry fruit(grapefruit, pineapple and honey) with a hint of hazelnut, sweet spice a la style Sauternes. It is rich and tastes clean and smart. However, it is lightish and more simple than most Sauternes.
This " flagship", located in the municipality of Monbazillac, extends its 31 hectares on clay, limestone hill exposed to the South West. Sunshine is exceptional, so the fruit is fresh and ripe. The plots are composed of Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle under rigorous selection, manual harvest, late harvest method. Can age further.
