Deep ruby in colour. Musky, smoky aromas of dried cherry and dark berries, with notes of toast, tobacco, cedar and cured meat adding complexity.
Dusty tannins add grip to the finish, which leaves dark chocolate and peppery spice notes behind
Distinctly wild, offering intense blackberry and bitter cherry flavours and suggestions of chewing tobacco and smoky herbs.
From 85% Tempranillo and 15% Mazuelo (Carignan).
Aged in American oak for 18 months. .
An old-school(ABV 13.5%, fruit profile, composition, ageing) all the way, albeit with more structure and body way.
Vintage 2013 has been declared Good by Decanter and its DOC. The other writers say it is light and may be complicated. It tastes like tradition in a bottle.
