2013 Chateau Lascombes, Margaux

Colour is rich and dense, deep ruby. Almost indigo. Wake up this Lascombes 2013 in the glass to get richly extracted dark fruit like dark plums and currants before violets and lavender, wood spice and menthol, earthiness and smokiness, dark chocolate and liquorice. The 13.5% is about right to give a Long enough fruit length and power; excellent acidities; robust tannins structure adds to the texture. Will be maturing starting 2019 and beyond.

While this bottle is not the best Lascmobes of course; it is one of the best and valued Lascombes showing lots of Margaux terroirs.
