Viking Grand Shiraz 2002

Colour still robust, showing medium ruby with a tight garnet rim.  Great fruit, drying out slowly by now. Viking Grand Shiraz 2002 is with black fruits, liquorice and earth; it demands patience. Leave it to open up more. Success derives from the stunning site of 50-year-old dry-grown vines. The wine have good age worthiness due to the power of its fruit and high alcohol. This wine is the result of its owners (Tord & Charmaine Soderstrom) dedication to producing a top quality wine out of passion. Before them purchasing the property in September 1993, the Shiraz was purchased by Penfolds for incorporating into its world famous "Grange".

It is a JA 91. It is from an excellent vintage.
