Tenuta di Ghizzano  Veneroso 2010, IGT

Some Forty-two thousand bottles from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in total production, hence the production scale is adequate to give some economies of scale and hence good cost performance.

2010 is a cool growing season and ideal weather before harvest; pure, elegant and structured reds, with fine potential for aging. It is an international styled IGT. Scores are high, Like RP93 and GAL93. GAL writes well on this:

“The Tenuta di Ghizzano Veneroso 2010, IGT(sic) is striking in this vintage. Dark cherries, plums, grilled herbs, dried flowers, sage and underbrush meld together in a powerful, broad-shouldered wine endowed with gorgeous balance and symmetry. Cabernet Sauvignon gives the bright Sangiovese-inflected aromas and flavors an extra kick of structure. Veneroso is 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.” – Antonio Galloni Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024
