Majella Riesling 2014, Coonawarra
This wine displays aromas of apple and lime juice with a dash of spice. Well balanced and refreshing, finishes fresh, precise & crisp. Some bottle age: terpintine, elements of kerosene. Works well with seafood, cheese and chicken-beautifully with Asian flavours and will undoubtedly stand up to spicier foods. ABV 13.5%; light bodied; adequate complexity.
Coonawarra gives a serene environment for sleek Rieslings, which are very different to those Rieslings from Eden and Clare Valley. You can hardly find a Riesling from this region this vintaged and still with fruit.
