Medium ruby. Bright red-fruit(red currants and raspberries). Some blackcurrants, chocolates and tobacco tones on the second nose. The palate is fruit-forward; it is ripe and dry fruited (red plums). The calcareous terroir of the Cotes and St Emilion brings soft and elegant tannins to this wine. Medium body with pleasant aftertaste.13% ABV, medium-bodied. Some freshness from(Merlot-based) with structure(from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon). There are some adequate complexities for the class.
A Kressman wine made with some economy of scale. Can't expect more for a basic wine: Cotes price/St Emilion ease; no oak.
