Puygueraud 2011

第七期:“很好喝,圓潤、柔和,有種令人感傷的酸甜,我覺得它充滿了彷彿已經發黃的回憶一般的鄉愁。-神之水滴

Another strong effort from Puygueraud (the birthplace of the Thienpont family), the 2011 was fashioned from modest yields of 35 hectoliters per hectare, and the final blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec came in at 14.5% natural alcohol. The wine’s dense blue/purple color is accompanied by copious aromas of blueberries, blackberries, charcoal and graphite. Clearly performing well above its modest pedigree, this sleeper of the vintage possesses medium to full body, beautifully pure fruit, and a decade’s worth of drinkability.-Robert Parker.

This has good guts, with a briary frame around a core of steeped plum, black currant coulis and warm ganache notes. The charcoal shading through the finish keeps the grippy edge lingering. Drink now through 2016. 500 cases made.– James Molesworth (WineSpectator.com, March 2014)

This is chewy and tannic, but it’s a little hollow in the mid-palate right now. Full body with a coffee and berry character. Medium finish. Needs time to soften and come together. Better in 2016. – jamessuckling.com, February 2014
