Alma Mora Malbec 2013, San Juan, Argentina

Alma Mora Malbec 2013 is almost a full-bodied wine, displaying ripe red berry and fleshy plum flavours. The almost coconuty touch of vanilla from oak barrels softens the acidity on first palate. Clean aftertaste. Through the tasting we did not get any greenness commonly associated with Malbec....., all these attributes say that this is a crowd pleaser to most general tasters and consumers. Look at the medal stickers on the bottle! Looks great right?

Mostly important, we thought Alma Mora portrays what we feel but do not show. What we love but do not say. We like this wine as it connects with our senses. But we just can’t say we adore a cheap Argentinian red?! Not too such sophistication right in the eyes of some? Team’s confession.

It’s more politically correct to say this is a good banquet wine? It will be even safer to say this is an ideal complement to slow-cooked Chinese pot style dishes, grilled meats, beef or pork, but also an excellent match for rabbit, duck or pasta dishes with spicy tomato sauce.
