Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, ‘Life is a journey, not a destination.’ If I may swirl that thought in my glass and savour it as a wine lover might, I find my heart drawn to the timeless notes of character rather than the fleeting flavours of sensation. This is why I am compelled to write about my travels: to uncork the stories of my wanderings, pour out thoughtful travel essays, and capture the ideas that fizz up between my ambitions and daily pursuits. With any luck, these reflections will help me navigate the ‘promised land’ of life, from the first sip to the last drop, with a measure of fulfilment.
'Wine Journeys' documents my free associations of the places I may have travelled with wines. 'Travel Essays' may sound 'snobbish'. 'Inspirations' are distillations of my wine life and travel.
