Champagne Laurent Perrier La Cuvée' NV

Pale gold colour. Very fresh, apple, lemon-zest nose, with a bit of bonbon fruitiness/sweetness. Fine and tight bubbles and a good mousse. Finishing with tangy acidity well balanced, followed by some complexity and good length.

Laurent Perrier La Cuvée' NV launched in 2017 replaces their traditional Non-Vintage Brut. It is the new flagship NV Champagne, which is an entirely different entry-level type of 'Cuvée' upped to a chic modern standard. How? First, a new 55% Chardonnay majority adding purity, freshness, elegance, sleekness, and delicacy. Second, an extra year ageing in the cellar on the lees, giving more complex and developed taste, with more creaminess. Third, increased reserve wines( 50% more from the earlier Brut NVs), so this new Champagne has more intensity and continuity in style. Finally, dosage lower from 12.5 g/l to 9 g/l. Not bone dry, it gives a new House style where the palate is brighter, more delicate, and cleaner.

More than 100 crus selected by Laurent-Perrier now enter into the composition of La Cuvée which is made possible with quality control at reception as well as access to even better Chardonnay vineyards. Fruit quality is good.
