Wine to keep. Dark ruby; intense with shy blackberry, plums and dark cherries suppressed by cedar oak and cigar box scents that gradually open on decanting, providing even more fruit definition and power. A Stéphane Derenoncourt, it can attempt after a little force-ageing though it will age quite well. Not big. Very St Julien.
Consistent score; JS94, WE94.
