Château d'Arsac 2013 Margaux
Deep ruby with purple hue, this Chateau d’Arsac 2013 is a straightforward and simple Margaux in the good sense. Duo grapes 67% Cabernet and 33% Merlot give fruit and terroir definition and not that much for full complexity on nose.
It is well structured with firm and round tannins that are balanced by clean, clear, juicy red-berry fruits and acidity. Finshes with blackcurrant tones as well as touches of violet, spices, smoke, toast, leather and cabernet greenness, Chateau d'Arsac 2013 is surprisingly well integrated on the way to aging well.
Well awarded with WE92, some 12.3% 357 tasters in Vivino as of today rank this wine 5-star wine and over 22.5% 4-star.
ABV13% with 12 months in French oak(80%, and the rest in stainless steel), this is a pretty neat little Margaux wine produced at the western end of the Margaux appellation (commune Arsac, thin top on gravelly soil).
There is some economy of scale in Chateau d’Arsac (112 ha in total, where 40 ha+ is for this Margaux wine and the rest for Haut Medoc and white wines).
