Tenuta di Ghizzano Nambrot 2008 Magnum

Only 2,000 bottles produced from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. Very Modern. An alternative to Pomerol type of lushness. The only weakness as this delicious and full-bodied IGT i- it needs time. R.Parker 94+, A.Galloni 94+.

2008 is a a warm late season rescued a cooler-than-average vintage; ripe reds show good structure, purity and elegance.

“The 2008 Nambrot is striking. Today it comes across as impossibly young and dense. The bouquet still needs time to develop, but it is impossible to miss the depth and finesse of the fruit. Firm yet well-balanced tannins support a gorgeous, inviting finish laced with blackberries, tar, smoke, liquorice and violets. I can’t wait to taste this in a few years. Nambrot is 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Petit Verdot aged in French oak barrels.” – Antonio Galloni

Anticipated maturity: 2014-2030
