Chateau Cos Labory 2009 revisted

The wine we are discussing today is the Cos Labory 2009, which has a deep, ruby colour with a tight rim. It is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, reflecting the unique terroir of St Estephe. Although it is still restrained on the nose, it has a lot of fruity tones of plum and cassis, much like Pauillac wines.

This wine is complex yet concentrated, with a full palate of flavours and textured tannins. Hints of mulberry, cedar, and pepper culminate in a slick and smooth roundness. Even though the 2009 vintage was relatively rigid, this wine offers a full palate of concentration, flavour, textured tannins, dense black fruits, and a touch of pepper, leaving you wanting more.

Despite some claiming a shortage of fruit by Cru Standard, this wine has strong supporters. The price is always sensible, considering the rarity of Vintage 2009 on the market. It's probably at the peak of its drinking, ready to be savoured.

Rest assured, this wine has garnered exceptional scores from various sources: 95GG, 93WE, 93Decanter, and 93Falstaff. These scores testify to its outstanding quality and should instill confidence in your choice.
