Domaine Decelle-Villa Nuits-St-George 2013
Bright deep ruby, with a narrow purple rim. Ripe blackberry fruit, cherries, raspberries, black truffle, licorice and fresh mint. On the palate, very clean fruited, textured with strong wood influence showing tones of cinnamon, black pepper, wood spice and vanilla. Vintage 2013 is rare because of low yields; it gives more structured with protracted taste, ripe fruit(destemming, whole berries, small crates to avoid fruit bruising), linear and vibrant acidities), and is the more complex wines from the range. Very long finish. Classic NSGto keep with some potential.
ABV is 13%. Sugars fermented out, hence zero residual. Soils are complex, on 2 parcels of Soil off Vosne Romanee; therefore this wine by nature of the terroir is not a primaryNSG, thus more structure, complexities and sophistication, and hence the style. . Ageing 18 months in 20% new oak.
