Bodegas Volver Paso A Paso Tempranillo 2019

Notes from the winery say, 'Bright violet colour. Aromas of red berries, spices and dried flowers with a spicy note that is becomes pronounced as it breathes. Juicy in the mouth, offers fresh currants and cherry flavours. Fine-grained tannins add to a long finish with accented spices."

The 2019 is modern. The word Paso a Paso 'means step by step'. We think this bottle still got that lively red fruit(berries cherries) with hints of leather, milk chocolate and cocoa. On oxygenation, it forms firm tannins and well-balanced acidity. A food wine with sufficient mid-palate and length. Parkers writes aptly, saying it is"A meaty, fleshy, dense, Spanish fruit-bomb!" Antonio Galloni notes it super value and JD mentios well the great balance.

Scores are decent, such as 90 Points, Spanish wine specialist Guia Penin, who writes: "Deep cherry colour. Aromas of dried herbs, creamy oak, dark chocolate and black fruit. Powerful, ripe fruit, spicy, round tannins." , awarding 90 Points, Guía Peñín

The Wine Maker is Rafael Cañizares who is the wine king of central Spain, where he produces exceptional wines in Castilla-La Mancha, Alicante, and Murcia. Under his ‘Volver’ and ‘Tarima’ labels, Rafael has released a series of highly distinctive wines of exceptional value, with their own unique regional and varietal character. Volver in La Mancha was founded in 2004, in the eastern part of La Mancha, where Rafael found several head-trained Tempranillo vineyards planted in extremely poor soils, at very high altitudes on the Spanish central plateau.
