Tenimento Ca' Bianca Gavi DOCG 2015

Medium lemon tight rim. Classic, mature Gavi with tones of dry orange, flowers, dry citrus fruit and ginger candies. The second nose gives spice lemon peel, fruity fragrances, and is nutty(hazel, almond)—a food wine, particularly for dried apricots, shell seafood, 'steam shrimp dumplings and salumi.

Lightish yet intense, its finishes reflect the nose with quite decent salinity and minerality- think the flintiness of a good AOC Chablis with an added dimension of Italian spices. It probably passed its prime time- good dry fruit, though—score by Vivino writers combined in the range of 88.

Chiara Soldati organically made them from 100% Cortese grapes, on calcareous soil, no oak, 11.5% ABV.
