Sarget 2011, Second Wine Gruaud Larose

Nose like the First Wine Gruaud Larose to start. Perhaps rightly put by WS , there is a slightly high-tone on opening and disappears soon in bigger glasses. The fruit is not as dark, with a whiff of mixed red/dark and citrus fruit giving way to red currant and green and meaty tones classic of Gruaud Larose. A cedary edge on the finish backs the medium finish. Palate returns to dark fruit, faded in the style of a reasonable second wine, giving only a medium finish but goes on and on. Not bad.
