Concha y Toro Castillero del Diablo Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley 2007, Chile

Cellar: Castillero del Diablo, Concha y Toro

The cherryish nose showing sweet berry fruit with minty sappiness carried through to finish. Surely the warm, dry and long summer of 2007 in Casa Blanca, coupled with the cool westerly wines from the ocean, had rendered this intense, mid-plated, nicely balanced Pinot Noir possible. The 7 years’ bottle-ageing did bring in lots of Burgundian-like nuances , which made this Concha y Toro Castillero del Diablo Pinot Noir 2007 the best valued wine we Dunn Dunn Wine had ever been able to source so far. A rare fine.

World recognition with accolade of medals from the most important competitions: Decanter Awards 2008, IWC2008, Dallas Wine Competition 2008. Who cares about Parker Score? The team anyways awarded DD90.
