Paringa Shiraz 2010, South Australia

Yes, it is another Aussie Shiraz from South Australia. Northern Rhone palated friend would have said that this wine is simple. Team thought that, for the value, Paringa Shiraz 2010 stands out from the crowd, particularly after some 4 years' development in bottle. Because some excellent fruit has been sourced for this wine, so ample fruit is still there and it is becoming quite elegant by now.

The Paringa Shiraz 2010 scored WS90. Bright, deep ruby red, it gives lifted aromas of blueberry jam with clove and pepper characters, which add complexity with subtle hints of mocha. Well integrated palate-ripe dark berry fruit complimenting Cocoa and mocha oak flavours textured by subtle, velvet tannins. Smooth drinking.

Paringa Shiraz from 1999 to 2012 scored consistently between WS 85 to WS90, so this Shiraz is of very stable quality.
