Chateau La Tour Carnet 2015
Deep ruby with a narrow rim. On the nose, fresh blueberries, cherries, plums open up after an hour in the bottle. On the palate, friendly, fresh, robust with firm expression of Cabernet fruit on good structure(ample and fine tannins, Merlot fruit generosity, fruit length driven by nice acidities, wood obvious)and depth. On the finish, it gives Cru level length, allowing time for appreciating a nice mingling of liquorice, coffee cream, oak, vanilla. A wine built to last and improve over time.
Tasting Team has a special feeling about CHATEAU LA TOUR CARNET 2015, JS93, NM 91-93, DECANTER 90, reasonably priced, slightly below 2010, which benefits from a dynamic distribution international level. It is far better than 2014, 2013, 2012 vintage and 2011 vintage. The level of stock available in Bordeaux is ridiculously small. Why is the 2015 vintage not fetching a decent price according to supply and demand principles, as always really for its other wines?
Back to the Hong Kong market situation, this Magrez-4th Growth-Left Bank wine is, unfortunately, being 'overdone' in the sense that importers are just blind to pricing this wine with a view. The margin is razor thin, and wine sales persons keep on importing and slashing prices. This wine, unfortunately, is a one-sided buyers’ wine. Very sad, if you narrowly look what those darn stupid idiots had done to Haut Médoc Grand Cru Classé CHATEAU LA TOUR CARNET 2015 here for the small market of Hong Kong, you might understand how we feel.
Ok, maybe its not that bad and the situatuon could be worse. Not the end of the world. And it is always nice to kill in the name of consumer sovereignty anyways. And we are just small wine companies however good we are. We are just another Summer Fly of poet William Blake , so let us die.
