Chateau Petit Val 1997 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru


The bright ruby ​​coloured Chateau Petit Val 1997 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru displays dry, liquorice black fruit and spicy aromas. The palate is silky and supple. Indeed with more than 20 years ageing, the wine shedding much of its varietal characters from the 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and returned to the basis of its soil and terroir. Of this 98 shows some reflections of evolution. The nascent bouquet reveals aromas of red fruits with alcohol mixed with spicy and slightly woody notes. It ages in French oak barrels for 14 to 18 months.
