Lynch Bages 2007

Better to form your judgement regarding the famous LYnch BAges and its notorious 2007. Suffice to add two consistent comments as follows.

Awarded 93 points, Jane Anson, JaneAnson.com, April 2022, several months wrote, 'An underrated vintage that is delivering easy to drink signature Pauillac. Pencil lead, smoked cedar, sandalwood, full mint leaf, cassis and bilberry, finesse, balance and juice. A seductive, moreish and beautifully balanced wine that is ready to enjoy but will continue to deliver over the next decade. 70% new oak.' Also awarded 93 points, Parker wrote ten years ago,' Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. A strong showing from Lynch-Bages which is matching a couple of First Growths. 2007 has an attractive nose: well defined with blackberry, strawberry and briary. There is a good mineralité here with pencil lead and cedar showing through - very Pauillac, very fresh. The palate demonstrates great fruit concentration with saturated ripe tannins, good acidity and structure, and over-achieving on the succulent finish. Excellent..' (Edited by staff).
