The “Great Wines of Bordeaux” tasting 2013
The “Great Wines of Bordeaux” tasting showcased by Hong Kong Tatler attracted quite a crowd: the Four Season Ballroom had became smaller. In this event, some older vintages(2001, 2004, 2005) were featured; they were still affordable. All the wines were more than palatable. In the style of a Tatler type of event, the tasting was really not a tasting but did provide a meeting point for socializing, to see and to be seen. Really Bordeaux still rules in Hong Kong, judging by the intensity of the participation. Drinkers and wine lovers ‘swamped’ most expensive wine booths first with Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion, Chateau Palmer and Chateau Mouton Rothschild the first to have queues forming to taste wines. Ha, quite an event for real drinking.
