Tasting Chateau Bonnet 2009 Reserve Bordeaux
I have been selling the 2000 and 2001 vintages of Chateau Bonnet Reserve Bordeaux Rouge, which always remind of green bean soup!. But this vintage 2009 is very modern. It begins with nose of blackberry, plum and spice. Very vibrant and delicious with up-front french oak, it is very very well-made. This wine definitely needs some time to open up with the dark fruits and licorice flavors and nice fine tannins, which drive the wine to a great dry and fruity finish that features a bit of dark chocolate at the very end. A simple Bordeaux? No way! We think it is a DD90.
