Chateau la Croix du Bailli 2007, Montagne St. Emilion. Merlot's dominant juicy plummy fruit glides over the palate with silky ease. On aeration tones of dry 'long-an' and lychee, with cassis , blackberry, cherry confit ) and hints of coffee lurking. A lush texture and the refreshing acidity lift the black berry and lightly spiced plum and red berry fruit flavours, highlighted by subtle integrated oaky spice and a licorice aftertaste, yielding to alcohol's warming finish. ABV13.5%; 100% Merlot, 14 months’ mixed oak; on top of the hills Neac.
