2005 Haut Gay, Bordeaux Superieur

Bergeron 2009.jpg

DD89. Acquired by the family of the Comte of Tastes, Château Haut Gay's tiny eight hectare vineyard is located on the Commune of Lalande de Fronsac. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels this wine is bottled at the Château without fining or filtration. The resulting wine is deep red in color, with bright red fruit aromas and hints of vanilla. With a host of ripe black and red fruit, it is powerful, full-bodied yet balanced, with silky tannins. Fully integrated by now, this wine gives interesting changes throughout our 2-hour tasting.
