Bordeaux 2015 En Primeur-Part 3
Here is a summary of our point of view after our tasting of the Bordeaux vintage 2015.
Very pleasant tasting . Considering the weather report of this summer with its strong hot season we expected high degrees of alcohol and low acidities. But some rains of August moderated, it seems, all this. We had wines rather well-balanced, silky and rather lively.
On the right side (Saint Emilion, Pomerol) wines are characterized by very ripe fruit aromas, ample mouths, rather low acidity and good length. These wines are of a good standard and are successful. We re bit of looking into structure to get the best for our clients.
On Medoc:, the South of the Médoc less watered at the end of September takes away. Very attractive Listrac and Moulis and magnificent Margaux. Top-Médoc, especially those resulting from the central part around Saint Julien Cussac or closer still of Bordeaux, show themselves smooth and very fruity. Our preference is Margaux and the lesser appelations.
Médoc wines of the north zone more suffered giblets of water arisen shortly before the grape harvests. These wines have not a big structure but are very elegant with a good balance, soft tannins and a lot of fruits. Here we look for high cost performance.
Team means are hesitant to tell which ones are the best. The 'best' has got tot be deliberated along the preferences of customers, aided by commonsense, sanity and wisdoms. And of course, our professional views.
