2017, Wine Futures, Chateau Marojallia

Deep ruby with a tight and bright pink rim. Dense and rich(dark cherries, strawberries); dusty and excellent acidity; firm structured and tannic. A full fruit bomb, for now, that holds a long finish and keep the potential evolution of the wine for some years. Composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot(du Tertre and Monbrison next door has only 65 % Cabernet, with more diversity of grapes), the higher content of pure cabernet and 100% new French oak made Chateau Marojallia 2017 by design a robust and modern Margaux.

For the connaisseur of bigger Margaux, Chateau Marojallia wine is excellent. It is an evolving estate that produces 500 cases of this first wine annually. The quality of their wine has silenced doubters of their pioneering winemaking techniques (the unorthodox and "garagiste" methods, with Christophe Coupez and Michel Rolland as the consultant).
